Agatha Christie (1890-1976) captivated millions of people all around the world with the clever narrative style and brilliantly constructed plots of her novels, plays and short stories. In Miss Marple she created a memorable cult figure of the crime novel genre, who, in films such as 4.50 from Paddington solved even the tricky cases with charm and astuteness, and even today has loyal fans all over the world.
