The Montblanc Patron of Art Edition in 2022 is dedicated to Queen Victoria & Prince Albert. The Limited Edition 100 celebrates their life and love. The fountain pen is made from solid 18K signature gold and mother-of-pearl inlays. The cap is decorated with a special guilloche and is partly set with turquoise stones. As a highlight, the cap features a portrait of the couple made from solid 18K signature gold. The cap ring inspired by a Victorian wedding band is detachable and bears a special engraving. The cap top is inspired by a royal crown and is adorned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl. The solid 18K signature gold cone with engravings is adorned with a double heart-shaped amethyst. The clip shape is a tribute to Victoria's scepter while the solid 18K white gold forepart bears a fine engraving of a note from Albert to Victoria. The handcrafted solid 18K gold nib is embossed with a pansy, Victoria's favorite flower and also a symbol of loving thoughts. With signature gold and/or signature gold-coating, Montblanc describes the enlightened shade of yellow gold which has become an appreciated tone for the Maison’s Writing Instruments.
