Product features

Cap The cap is made of wild olive wood, refined with laser engravings to provide the look of the leopard-skin capes Hannibal’s soldiers wore as protection in battle. Another reference to the Punic cuirass of Hannibal’s time is the decoration on the cap, which recalls Phoenician armor.
Cap Top The cap top is set with a emblem made of mother-of-pearl encased in granite. The elephants eyes are set with cognac color diamonds set (~0,025 ct.) in marquise cut.
Clip The shape of the cap top and clip pay tribute to Hannibal’s elephant.
Overall Design The overall design and shape is inspired by the major events of the second Punic war, where Hannibal crossed the Alps with elephants in 218 BC. The 'diamond tip' engraving under the black translucent lacquer is inspired by the Battle of Cannae where Hannibal’s troops used crescent-shaped formation by using the central legion as a bait. The fittings are made of Au750 solid rose-tone gold.
Cone The cone is enriched with lacquer inlays and a decoration that pays tribute to the rings from the beaten soldiers of the Roman cavalry which Hannibal took from the war as a proof of his victory.
Nib The Au750 solid rose-gold tone gold nib is enriched with a Laurel which is inspired by an ancient portrait of Hannibal.
Limitation The limitation is a reference to the 86,000 Roman soldiers defeated by Hannibal’s forces at Cannae.
