Cap The engraving on the shield in the middle of cap is inspired by the Punic cuirass.
Cap Top Cap top set with one approx. 6,03 ct. diamond in brilliant cut.
Clip The cap top and clip are shaped like an elephant trunk and set with individually cut diamonds on the head and two cognac color diamond (0,046 ct.) in marquise cut in the eyes.
Overall Design The overall design and shape is inspired by the major events of the second Punic war, where Hannibal crossed the Alps with elephant in 218 BC. The Au750 solid yellow gold cap and barrel are set with a full blue sapphire pavé whereas diamonds are set in carée cut in the barrel overlay. The Au750 solid yellow gold fittings are decorated with brilliant cut diamonds on the rings.
Cone Au750 solid white gold cone is set with a blue sapphire cabochon (~3,87 ct.); the engraving on the cone ring is taking inspiration from armor of Hannibal's army.
Nib The engraving on the Au750 solid gold nib is inspired by the Baal Hammon, the chief god og Carthage, which was engraved on the punic cuirass. The nib is set with 2 diamonds, each 1mm, brilliant cut.
Limitation The limitation refers to a famous quote of Hannibal: "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam." (I will either find a way, or make one.) when Hannibal’s generals told him it was impossible to cross the Alps by elephant, this was his response.
