Marketing description
The name ‘Orient Express’ conjures magical images of a mythical time when experienced travelers followed the call of exotic lands. This icon of stylish rail travel is the inspiration for the Montblanc High Artistry A Journey on the Orient Express Limited Edition 1883. This limited coffret takes its inspiration from the comfort and splendor of the midnight-blue train that has become an icon of travel culture. Every detail of the furnishings is a testimony of the Art Deco style and only the most renowned designers and craftsmen were recruited to decorate the compartments. The writing instrument is encased in blue as an homage to the color of the train and the engraved pattern on the cap is inspired by delicate marquetry designs of René Prou. The small bouquet of flowers engraved on the solid Au 750 gold nib is based on another design taken from Prou's various marquetry works. The Orient Express always brought its passengers to their destination in style and comfort. Honoring that tradition, this collection ensures a luxurious writing experience with a coffret set including a bottle of blue ink to complement the blue resin of the fountain pen as well as an ivory-colored notebook boasting the same decorative element as the writing instrument's cap.
