Cap The cap in damask steel is inspired by the interesting stories about Middle East from The Travels of Marco Polo. The cap ring is decorated various creatures from the wild and fantastic world he experienced, il Milione.
Cap Top A compass rose, that can be revealed by unscrewing, is worked into the cap top, showing his most important tools.
Clip The clip represents the golden pass given to him by Kublai Khan, which guaranteed safe travels through the Khan’s kingdom./td>
Overall Design The shape is inspired by a bamboo forest, a reference to what Marco Polo described through his travel in southern Tibet. The design of the Au750 solid signature gold barrel represents Marco Polo crossing the desert, taken from The Catalan Atlas map. The barrel made of mulberry wood is the link to the silkworn and the silk road. The gold intarsia represent the trip of Marco Polo: 28 steps to Quanzhou, 10 steps back to Venice. The fittings are made of Au750 solid signature gold.

Nib An image of Marco Polo on horseback in the style of the illustrations of the Catalan Atlas, a large part of which is based on Marco Polo's accounts, is engraved on the handcrafted Au750 solid signature gold nib.
Limitation The Limitation of 69 is honouring his lifetime achievements. As he spent many of his years travelling along the Silk Road, the edition's name is paying home to it with its name.
