Cap The cap resembles a cylinder with its typical reinforcement rings.
Cap Top The emblem is made of mother-of-pearl.
Clip The clip is shaped like Watts regulator with its double weights, designed to lift and move apart when in motion.
Overall Design The skeleton overlay in three layers is inspired by James Watt’s technical reinvention of the steam engine. The writing instrument is made Au750 solid white gold skeleton overlay, a middle layer in graphite color and a transparent resin underlay. The mechanic is made of Au750 yellow gold the titanium cap tube is black PVD-coated. His numerous patents and inventions are represented by the diamonds on the barrel (~0,28 ct.) and the single diamond on the cone (~0,35 ct.).
Cone The cone is inspired by the classical shape of a fluted pillar and is crowned with a diamond.
Nib The rhodium-coated Au750 solid gold nib is engraved with a horse referring to the power unit 'horsepower' Watt invented.
Limitation It's limitation to 35 pieces refers to a quote from James Watt, who, at age 35, felt he had not yet done '35 pence worth of good in the world'.
